ISEA was very pleased to hold the second round of agent training in Auckland on 13th and 14th August. There were five agencies with eight counsellors who joined us this time. The third round of domestic agent training is scheduled for 16th and 17th October.
ISEA was successfully launched in the Philippines. We received considerably positive feedback from the local agents and they were very keen to join ISEA to work together to promote New Zealand as a study destination.
ISEA has launched in the Thai market with a briefing to Thai Education Agencies held on 26th June. It was lovely catching up with some old friends and familiar faces. Training with the Thai agencies scheduled for the 30th of July.
Our first 2-day Training and Accreditation event wrapped up successfully today! Education Agents representing many different international markets made history by starting the process to become our first Accredited NZ Education Agencies, congratulations!
ISEA is beginning to appear in the news as the need becomes greater for an industry shakeup and professional standards for Education Agents to be raised. The day will come when Education Providers, and eventually Government, will make it mandatory for Education Agencies to be trained and accredited in order to fix the many issues faced, not just the ones mentioned in this article. The ISEA team were excited to launch the initiative of support, representation, agent training and an industry approved accreditation system for Education Agents to the International Education industry on Monday 25th February. The initiative was launched to Education Agents in the morning followed by Education providers in the afternoon. Guest speakers included Kim Crosland from ITENZ and Andrew Galloway from Immigration Advisers Authority – MBIE.
