Rachel Honeycombe

Director Industry Engagement

Rachel has extensive experience in the International Education Industry having worked across all sectors including English Language, Schools and Tertiary in Marketing, Consultancy and Senior Management roles over the past 20 years. Rachel has a well-established network across the majority of international markets and has travelled extensively marketing international education in over 26 countries. Rachel has been at the forefront of Strategic Management decisions as well as assisting those new to the industry with Professional Development. Rachel has presented at both the Study Auckland and New Zealand International Education Conferences. She has also been involved in Advisory Meetings for the Industry and was on the board of ITENZ (Independent Tertiary Education New Zealand) in 2017.

Rachel is the Director of ISEA and is responsible for industry engagement, training content and delivery, the implementation of offshore launch projects as well as strategic development. Rachel also coordinates the ISEA Accreditation Council and the ISEA Education Agency Advisory Board.

Mery Sofia Carreno

Project Manager

Mery is an Economist with a Master in International Business. Mery first came to New Zealand as an international student 17 years ago. She founded the first Latin American Education Agency based in New Zealand 14 years ago and has grown the business considerably with offices now located in various cities in Colombia. Mery has strong relationships with New Zealand Education Providers and has assisted providers looking to develop strategies for the Latin American market. Mery has actively participated in International Education Conferences around the world, learning and expanding on the knowledge of the industry.

Mery is the Project Manager for ISEA as well as one of the founding Directors. Mery is responsible for engagement with New Zealand Education Providers and Project Management.

Saione Greer

Operations Marketing Manager

Saione has been working as a business developer for over 20 years. Operating his own companies ranging from Graphic Design, hospitality, entertainment and event management in Auckland. His great ability to see the business potential in every corner has made him very flexible and has increased his vision from the local market to the international market.
He is responsible for the business strategy of ISEA and for implementing the operational commercial strategy of the company.

Natali Cortes Sobolieva

Digital technology manager

Natali is an engineer with a master’s in industrial engineering with an emphasis on innovation. She has been working as a consultant for digital businesses for over 8 years. She had the experience to go to New Zealand as an international student to improve her English and to study Business. She is fluent in Spanish, Russian and English and level B1 in French. 

Natali is responsible for the planning, management, and maintenance of ISEA digital platform, ensuring successful outcomes that are aligned with the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the company.

David Liu

Business DevelopmentManager – East Asia

David has worked in the International Education Industry for ten years in numerous positions. He worked for an education agency in China for over five years which promoted various markets. He came to New Zealand as an international student in 2013 to study a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration at a Category 1 provider. On completion of study he was employed by the Education Provider in the Marketing and Student Services team where he was responsible for agent engagement, marketing and offshore projects and social media content and development.

David is responsible for the development of the domestic agent network as well as the offshore East Asian Markets. He is also responsible for the industry news and social media platforms.
